A large and stunning gilt brass clock set with excellent original gilding which is bright and clean.
Both the clock and the candelabra stand on their original integral bases. Dial is enamel on copper and is complete with the original blued steel hands. The movement is visible at the rear of the case through a glazed back door.
The French movement is by the excellent maker A. D. Mougin and is of high quality. It runs for 8 days and striking on a bell. Our clockmaker has cleaned and serviced the movement, it is in full working order. The pendulum is an old replacement. Click the movie below to see and hear the movement working!
Condition of the case is excellent, the gilding is excellent with just some small areas of discolouration or tarnish in places. It is bright and clean with no losses. Dial is also in very good condition with no damage. The candelabra arms are very slightly distorted.
Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
