Description

A superb pair of elbow chairs in the manner of Giles Grendey. Each cresting rail with carved shell and pierced scrolls. The central vase-shaped splats with raised chinoiserie decoration, 1 with 2 figures, one holding a bird and a tree in the background, the other with 2 figures seated beneath a pagoda. Drop in caned seats and standing on cabriole legs with pad feet and shell carved knees. Joined by turned and square "H" framed stretchers. In very good condition, very little wear.
