~~ Excellent original condition ~~
The porcelain is a delicate pale blue shading to a delightful blush pink, hand painted with cherubim, rose and ribbon swags. In very good and original condition. The largest urn holds the clock which has the prettiest dial painted with a cherub trying to catch a butterfly with a butterfly net. Delicately fretted brass hands and naturalistic gilt ribbon bow. Clock and candelabra all have gilt brass mounts and lion mask ring handles. This wonderful clock set makes a magnificent display as you can see! Perfect country house chic.

The A.D. Mougin movement is of the usual excellent quality, runs for 8 days and is in excellent, clean and running condition. The clock is complete with bell and an old replacement. The beautiful enamel dial has two faint hairlines from the 4 and 8 o'clock positions.

Condition of the clock and candelabra is very good, the gilt finish of the brass is clean and has mellowed to an antique colour - there is some slight tarnishing/discolouration in some areas. The candelabra arms are slightly distorted and some of the arms have been re-attached at some point and are strong. The two central sconces are replacements and the tip of one arm is missing - none of these are noticeable or detract from this fantastic piece.

Condition of the porcelain bodies of the clock and the candelabra are also very good with a lovely faint antique surface crazing. There is a chip on the inside of the back door of the clock which can not be seen with the door closed. There is some slight wear to the over-glaze decoration.

Super looking clock set for your home!
