Antique 19th Century French Walnut Armoire C1880

Superb Antique 19th Century French Walnut Armoire and dating from aorund 1880. Constructed from quality Walnut it has a cornice top above a deep carved frieze with moulded panel to the centre and with two full length turned column supports to each side. There are two shaped full length mirrored doors with original lock and key. It stands on a deep serpentine shaped base with carved cartouche to the centre and on turned bun feet. Internally this lovely wardrobe which can be all hanging also has the added advantage of either being a Linen / Clothes Press ( or Gentlemans Wardrobe)? by keeping the shelf to the centre below which are two drawers. These as you see are completely removable and there is also a shelf to the base with two drawers. It completely breaks down for ease of transporting.

Measures: 86" high x 21" deep x internal depth 17" x 55" wide

A superb French Armoire of excellent quality and with a lovely deep colour and original patination to the Walnut and in very good condition oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
