A Beautiful Mahogany George III Period Antique Bachelors Chest

Description

A beautiful mahogany George III Period antique bachelors chest. The rectangular top with wonderful figured mahogany veneers cross banded in rosewood and with a brushing slide, above four graduating oak lined drawers. The drawers cross banded in rosewood and fine tunbridgeware inlaid detail, retaining the original cast brass swan neck handles, back plates and escutcheons, supported on shaped bracket feet. Dated to the backboard by pencil inscription (see pictures) circa 1782

Dimensions:37" wide x 20" deep x 32" high

Condition: This chest is in stunning condition, excellent colour and patination
