A small and delicate gilt brass French Rococo clock by the famous maker Japy Freres. Of typical Rococo design, with C scrolls, and swirling foliage.
The beautiful enamel on copper dial and delicately fretted blued steel hands are original.
French movement is by Japy Freres, the mark is on the movement backplate. It runs for 8 days and is in excellent, clean and running condition having been fully cleaned and overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement.
Condition of the case is excellent - there are no losses and the finish of the gilding is bright and clean. The enamel dial is also in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The clock displays beautifully as you can see below!
