Victorian Military Campaign Chest of Drawers

19th century
Description

Splendid mid 19th.c demountable teak campaign chest of drawers c.1870. A fine example of the form designed for the rigours of military travel with edges and corners reinforced with metal fittings and handles which hang flush to avoid getting damaged. For ease of transportation it splits into two pieces while the feet unscrew. Excellent condition, original colour with a few honest battle scars. Retaining all its original brass handles and fittings and original locks to the drawers, the centre being a Brahmer lock for extra security.

Dimensions: width 45", depth 21", height 46".
