A Charles X period French gilt ormolu mantel clock. A classical female figure next to a decorative bowl. Floral raised frieze decoration and dial edge corners. A convex enamel dial signed 'Picnot Pere a Paris'. A silk suspension 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours on a bell.

Picnot of Paris worked at Rue du Temple in 1812.
