Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
This is was their top of the range model with full Westminster chimes, with chime silence control. It strikes on the quarter, half and hours and has the full chime on every hour.
The mahogany case has a wonderful rich colour and patina and the grain really does shine through, this is complimented by very fine ivory stringing and the original silver dial with a contrasting polished brass bezel.
The movement is an outstanding piece of engineering and is totally original.
The movement has just undergone a full overhaul, clean and service by Alan Williams who is a fellow of the British Horological Institute with over 40 years experience working with high quality clocks so you can be assured that this clock is in tip top condition and will give trouble free service for many years to come.
It is keeping accurate time to within 1 minute a week.
Overall this is an outstanding clock.
The clock movement comes with a full 12 month warranty.
