A magnificent and rare 19th century French tea caddy, I think in Elm, absolutely smothered in intricate and highly decorative cut brass and pewter inlay; a really showy piece.

The lid opens to show a single lidded compartment. Dating to around 1850, the box comes complete with a working tasseled key. Superb condition, measuring 4 3/4" wide x 4 1/4" deep x 4 3/4" tall.
