A Good Burr Walnut Victorian Period Davenport

Description

A good burr walnut Victorian Period davenport. Having a sloping top with a green inset leather writing surface, which opens to reveal a satin birch veneered interior. The brass galleried top opens to reveal a mahogany fitted stationary section. The lower section having a hinged door to the right which opens to reveal four mahogany lined drawers. The whole raised on twin turned and carved columns with a walnut veneered plinth terminating in brass and porcelain castor's. The back of the davenport veneered in finely figured walnut circa 1860

Dimensions: 22" wide x 23" deep x 33" high (knee hole 26" high)

Condition: This davenport is in excellent original condition, fully cleaned and waxed
