Boudoir Clock
~ French - Circa 1900 ~
~~ Excellent condition ~~
It sits on its original gilt brass base which is attached to the bottom of the clock. The modelling of the case is beautiful and is of the highest quality with sharp detail and the original gilding is clean, bright and fresh.

The beautiful enamel on copper dial and delicately fretted gilt brass hands are original and the bezel is fitted with convex glass.
French movement is unusually small to fit the small case and is of high quality and is fitted with a platform escapement. It therefore requires no setting up, simply place on a firm and fairly level surface. It runs for 8 days, strikes on a bell and is in excellent, clean and running condition having been fully cleaned and overhauled by our clockmaker who has also replaced the missing bell.

Condition of the case is excellent - there are no losses and the finish of the gilding is bright and clean. The enamel dial is also in excellent condition just a small chip and some hairlines near the 8 o'clock position. These can not be seen with the bezel closed. The clock displays beautifully as you can see below!
