Stunning Antique English Walnut Table Box C.1820

Description

A really handsome box dating to the Georgian era, around 1820. Veneered from the most stunning piece of timber, highly decorative with a rich toffee colour and framed on the lid with a Boxwood and ebony stringing.

There is a strip of Walnut veneer to the back with a different grain, either there from the time it was made or an old repair; the box has been professionally repolished to showcase it's real beauty. It has also been lined in a hand marbelled paper creating a fresh, clean interior ready to use. It would make a wonderful desk-top box being a good size, measuring 13 3/4" x 9" x 4 1/4" tall.
