A Victorian Green Man Carved Golden Oak Hall or Centre Table

19th century
Sold by Elmgarden
Description

A Victorian Green Man Carved Golden Oak Hall or Centre Table

This is an intricately and very attractive piece, of Gothic Carved Oak furniture. There is a long drawer along one side, the frieze on the other side is carved to match but with no drawer, the table has very chunky and deeply carved legs

At the corners there are carvings of lions heads or the Green Man and the feet are the heads of Mythical Serpents and a carved stretcher

The thick top has a moulded carved edge, the drawer is on one side only but this piece was definitely intended to be viewed from all sides.

This is an unusual piece to come across and a delight to look at it would work very well as a hall table, it is in excellent condition

The table is 30" wide, 29" high, 23" deep

DELIVERY OF THIS PIECE TO ALL OF MAINLAND ENGLAND AND WALES IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE Delivery times vary from 7 to 28 days

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
