Description

A Fine quality Georgian convex dial wall clock. A slim mahogany case with a cast brass bezel. A 12" painted dial signed 'Fran. Dale, Reading'. An 8-day duration mechanism with shaped plates. 'Moon' blued steel hands. Circa 1820.

The Dale family of clockmakers worked in Newbury from 1790 and in Reading until 1877.
