Art Nouveau Silver Christening Set.

1900 - 1920
Description

Cased, Continental silver five piece Christening set; in stunning Art Nouveau design, and exactly in period date, this wonderful set is of the highest quality by a well-regarded maker. Comprising of a mug, napkin ring, knife, spoon and fork, each piece of plain design with applied floral decoration; also, the interior of the mug and napkin ring are gilded as are the fork tines, the knife blade and the spoon bowl. All set in a red leather case with a ruched pale silk interior. Exceptional!

German (Pforzheim.) c.1900. Lutz & Weiss.

Height of mug 6.5cm.

Length of knife 21.5cm.
