Description

A really, really elegant Art Nouveau large silver plated serving platter, made by the highly prized English silversmith, William Hutton.

The oval platter has four reticulated or pierced vignettes, featuring a stylized flower, I believe a Daffodil.

The underside has a full set of marks for the maker together with their crossed arrows mark. This piece is also lucky enough to have an English design registration number, 458840, for the year 1905; Edwardian in era and at the height of the Art Nouveau movement.

Excellent condition and a good usable large size, measuring 17" x 14".
