Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The front of the horn has a running Stag.
There is a screw removable cap which is also lucky enough to have an English design registration diamond allowing us to date it to September 3, 1880; a true Victorian example.

The end of the horn retains the original decorative monogram created from three intertwined initials The handle of the horn is created from carved Ebony.
Apart from a a few little dings and dimples commensurate with age, this stunner remains in excellent condition. The base measures 8" x 5" and the piece in total measuring 10" long to horn mouthpiece.
