Classic Victorian Black and Brass Double Bedstead

Description

Classic Victorian black and brass bedstead with the interesting history of having been salvaged from where it had been used as reinforcing inside a wall.

Some pitting within the iron is testament to it's long and hard life. A dainty looking bed that is wonderfully strong with attractive bell cap brass collars.The bed has been sympathetically restored in our own workshops including ensuring accurate fit of side rails with strengthening to same, shot blasting and powder coating and brass polishing.

Suitable standard mattress size 4'6" x 6'3".

head height 54"; foot height 43", rail height 15"

Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress)

We can also supply mini box bases 2" with platform top (£195)as used for photograph; or 4"with springs (£250)for better mattress support and get into bed height. We can also supply hand made mattresses in all comfort choices.

National and international delivery can be arranged. Please send post code/address if quote required.

We do have many more beds awaiting restoration please feel free to ask about these if searching for different style
