French Mantel Clock

Description

A quality French bronze mantel clock with the original ormolu gilding. A rococo case surmounted by a cherub. Front and side fretwork and an integral base stand. A convex enamel dial with 5 minute outer markers and fine gilt hands. An 8-day duration mechanism marked 'H.P & Co' striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Circa 1875.

Height 16" / 41cms. Depth 6 " / 15cms Width 10 " / 26cms.
