P A Oxley Antique Clocks & Barometers has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The 8 day duration movement striking the hours on a bell and with a 12" square painted dial displaying gilded fruit and flowers to the corners, blued steel hands, seconds, date aperture, makers name and place of work. The plain oak case of good colour with a long trunk door and a plain base with shaped single plinth.
