Description

A magnificent and unusual pair of postal scales created from hefty cast solid English brass, unmarked by the manufacturer but undoubtedly would have been made in one of the Birmingham foundry's, around 1890.

The shaped weight holder is most unusual, crowing the top of the scales, lined in the original leather and complete with set of weights including the litter topper.

Superb quality and condition, with a footprint measuring 13 1/4" x 6 1/4" and standing 8 1/2" to top of weights. A set to impress!
