This is a superb piece of 19th Century Carving, the head board has a detailed country scene, with seated male and female characters, the Breton cart wheel and a windmill, while the foot board has 3 scenes one of the young couple the young Man and his young Woman and their coming together, as an expression of hope for a long life together
This bed is longer than most Breton Beds you can see in the pictures that it has been made this way, the bed is 54” wide and 77” long, the top is 54” high
