Antique English Heart Shaped Vesta in Sterling Silver - 1907

Description

A lovely (and very romantic) Edwardian sterling silver vesta, in the the shape of a heart, with engraving on both sides.

The lid is sprung and snaps firmly shut, all as it should be. One side has a strike where the (non-safety) matches would have been struck.

This on a long silver chain would look charming worn. The silver is hallmarked for Birmingham 1907; the initials, S M L are present for the well renowned silversmith, Samuel M Levi.

Excellent condition, measuring 1 3/4" x 1 1/2" (excluding ring) and weighing 15.2 Grams or 0.49 Troy Ounce.
