An interesting early French 'St. Nicholas' longcase clock. An oak case with a well carved pediment depicting a basket of flowers. Two carved love birds at the centre of the glass pendulum aperture. A slim panelled trunk section and standing on bun feet. A convex enamel dial with brass hands. A twin weight driven mechanism of 3 day duration. These clocks are much rarer that the later 'Comptoise' clock.
