This 12 drawer cabinet was originally designed for the storage, protection and display of a collection of british lepidoptera. The drawers are unusually deep and will easily accommodate specimens on the longest continental pins.
If, however, this cabinet is intended for the housing of another collectible it offers spacious drawers with closely fitting glazed frames to the top of each drawer to protect the contents from dust or damage.
The cabinet was made circa 1860 and has a working lock and key. All the glass is original and the whole stands on bun feet. The drawers are papered and have cork to the base and are of the highest quality.
