The Water Babies Oil on Canvas by Arthur Kynaston D:1909

Description

The Water Babies oil on canvas signed and dated 1909 by the Artist Arthur Kynaston ( 1876-1919). The inspiration for this lovely study may have been taken from the popular childrens book written by Charles Kingsley in 1863 entitled ' The Water Babies'.

In New Romantic Style and depicting groups of water babies in lovely soft mellow ochres. A charming study that has been reframed sometime in the 1970's into a plain brass frame. However we feel that this should now be rehoused into a frame more in keeping with its age and style and therefore enhancing the beauty and nature of this lovely painting.

Measures: 14.5" x 18.5"
