Description

A wonderful and highly decorative desk accessory, this exquisite letter opener is made from solid or sterling silver.

The handle has wonderful raised continuous foliate border to both back and front and the front surrounds a stunning piece of antique tortoiseshell decorated with intricate silver pique work. The front of the blade is where the English silver hallmark can be found for Sheffield 1907. The handle and blade are joined with a heavy and highly decorative ferrule.

Superb condition measuring 8 3/8" in length.
