Description

An impressive French drumhead mantel clock. A Belgian slate case with marble panels. Fluted columns surmounted by finials. A bevelled glass front panel with visible mercury pendulum. An enamel dial with visible escapement and jeweled pallet stones. An 8-day duration mechanism by A D Mougin striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Circa 1885.
