London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
A stunning and unusual large wall mirror or overmantle in desirable un-restored condition c1820.
The mirror presents a hugely pleasing ornate frame with with detailed foliate gilt gesso compositions at each corner, further original raised moulding detail to the whole frame and surmounted with a crown of foliate and fruit, throughout intact in the majority.

The original mercury glass is in place with foxing throughout. The frame is structurally solid and the piece benefits from original white china bun feet.

The mirror is presented with upper fixing plates.
Overall a very pleasing mirror with quality craftsmanship, fine gesso detailing, gorgeous design and wonderful proportions making this a very rare find.
