Fine Bronze, Marble & Onyx Art Deco Clock Set

1900 - 1920
Description

An impressive and excellent quality French Art Deco period THREE-PIECE CLOCK SET (or "Garniture de Cheminee") comprising two variegated marble and onyx side vases flanking the clock itself.

The vases and the matching centrepiece are of finely figured variegated onyx in white, green and brown (the lines you see are part of the figuring and are NOT cracks or damage!) whilst to the foreground of the centrepiece is a charming patinated bronze study of a scantily-clad young lady with her dog.

The clock is of typically good French quality, the eight-day movement striking hours and half-hours on a gong, with pendulum and original dial and hands. Full working order and guaranteed for at least two years.
