Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The 8 day movement strikes on a bell on the half-hours and the hours. It has just been fully serviced by our BHI registered staff.
The case is constructed entirely from carved limewood which is then gessoed and gilded.

The 6" convex dial has black Arabic numerals with outside 5min. markers It is signed "Curt Bjockegren. Stockholm" It has a convex glazed door with a brass bezel.
The gilded pendulum can be seen working through a lower glazed panel.
A very attractive clock that is based on clocks found in18thC France.
