Prayer Chair Prie Dieu - Oak - c1870

This attractive oak chair is a pleasing and very solid example of English country chair making.

Designed as a prayer chair the piece will serve equally as a corner seat, hall feature or bedroom piece. With a generous 45cm seat height it will even work as a dining chair.

This piece benefits from a dark golden oak colour throughout.

It is in great order and is a strong and solid piece. The eye-catching look of the chair with its' sturdy turned parts, centre pole back-splat and a wide padded back rest, makes for a very pleasing chair.

Overall an excellent example and comfortable too. The seat textile is in good order and the covering on the backrest is showing some signs of wear as shown in the images.
