Slim Antique Walnut Bureau Bookcase

Description

This slim antique figured walnut bureau bookcase is good quality, with a lovely original colour & it has loads of character. The top section an has astral-glazed door, 3 shelves & canted corners. There is a nice interior inside the bureau with compartments, small drawers & a leather writing surface. The bureau flap & drawers are crossbanded & the drawers have the original brass handles. The back & the drawer bottoms are all solid pine, plus the drawers have fine dovetails. It sits on strong bracket feet. I would date it to around the 1890-1910 period & its in good original condition. I've just noticed a few marks on the sides that I'm not happy about, so it will be re-polished before being delivered, which will delay final deliver by a week or so. The proportions are great & like I said it has a fabulous colour. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate all the fine details & more importantly, go into my web site to see many more images.
