Antique Swedish Inlaid Marble Top Commode

1900 - 1920
Description

Very impressive old antique French style Swedish commode in good original condition, with three drawers. This piece has many fine details to look at, so please take a good enlarged look at all of the images. I believe this item dates from around the 1920's period & it has just been lightly polished. The original marble top has some beautiful graining to it, with a great colour & is in perfect condition. This commode is made up from many different woods & more exotic woods incorporated within the various marquetries that I'm not that knowledgeable about. I believe I can make out rosewood, walnut, kingwood, satinwood & satin birch, ebony. There is so much intricate detail that the more you look the more you discover. There are also lots of gilt bronze mounts, handles, feet & fittings.

Height - 33", 84 cm
