A really delightful and very elegant book rest or Lectern made from solid Mahogany, typically Georgian in style.

The hinge is quite splendid carved to create a flush finish while closed for travel or storage. The top is crowned with a carved Acorn, quite charming.

To give you an idea of scale, the book used in the photographs measures 7 1/4" x 5 1/4". The piece itself measures 8 1/2" wide x 11 1/2" tall while standing.
