Top-notch Antique English Burl Walnut Tea Caddy by Pearce, London C.1860

Description

About as fine as they get, an exquisite Victorian tea caddy in a very unusual oval form with the finest engraved brass mounts including the back, a real sign of top-notch quality.

The lid opens to reveal the inside of the lid having it's original velvet, gold embossed with a complimentary design to co-ordinate with the exterior mounts.

The two lids are mounted in brass again, one engraved for "Black" tea the other for "Green" tea.

The long hinge at the back is engraved by the very famous Pearce, Maker, 77 Cornhill, London.

Superb in every way, in excellent condition, measuring 9" x 5 1/2" x 5 1/4" tall.
