A stunning example of an early nineteenth century Chinese tea caddy dating to around 1820 in a stunning rare shape with lavish gilded decoration of various scenes and standing on four carved figural feet in the form of mythical beasts or Dragons.

The Paktong cannister is beautifully decorated. The lid can be removed to reveal an inner lid, this cannister can be removed completely.

An exceptional example without damage to carved feet; the gilding in exquisite condition. 7" x 7" x 4 1/2" tall. Complete with working key.
