The quality 8 day movement has just been fully overhauled by our BHI registered staff.
The arched brass dial has a silvered chapter ring with engraved Roman numerals and an outer ring of Arabic numbers. The silvered centre is engraved and has a subsiduary seconds dial and working date ring. It is engraved with the makers name. To the arch is a STRIKE-SILENT hand to enable the bell striking to be switched on or off.
The flame mahogany case has a full length door with star-burst inlays of ebony and sycamore. There are matching spiral turned columns to both the hood door and the trunk, (both lockable) each surmounted with brass corinthian capitols
The panelled square base of the trunk terminates with a moulded plinth and original ogeed bracket feet.
The clock retains it's original French-polished finish and has a superb age-related rich, warm patina.
