The piece is substantially constructed in solid pine and in very good condition.
Riding upon period turned feet the chest rises with three full width drawers offering excellent storage capability. The chest benefits from wonderful styling and detailing with half turned columns to the front and an attractive moulded edge detail at the crown. The drawer fronts display linear detailing and have original lock escutcheons.
The quality of the chest is demonstrated with the robust dovetailing and thickness of the stock used throughout.
The top surface is in lovely order and displays fantastic blond-wood grain. The piece benefits from attractive original turned pulls.
Overall a well proportioned chest in very good order that will perform as a hugely practical item of furniture and look great in any location.
Certainly a rarity in this configuration and condition.
