Antique Mahogany Cased Works of Shakespeare - 1888

Description

A beautiful miniature set of the Works of Shakespeare, each book measuring 4 3/4" x 3 1/2", all in lovely condition, some wear to volume III, due to the popular content - Merchant of Venice, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Taming of the Shrew.

The twelve volumes are set in a Mahogany book case with a carved removable crown to the front. The hinged front is opened by pressing the brass pin at the side and acts as a frame to the spines and once opened, allows access to the books.

Excellent condition, measuring 12 1/4" x 4 3/4" x 9 1/4" tall to top of crown.
