Description

Daniel Levy of Carmarthen clock and barometer maker.

An unusual and excellent quality early 19th century stick barometer.

The case constructed of the finest mahogany veneers with beautiful chequered ebony and holly inlay to the moulded edge.

The swan-neck pediment over silvered brass register plate, signed by the maker, with manually operated vernier slide and alcohol thermometer.

The unusual adjustable hygrometer dial above the main register plate.

The bulb cistern mercury tube terminating with a finely turned cover.

An excellent barometer of wonderful proportions in a fully restored and functioning condition.
