Naieve 'Aircrew Built' Model of a Spitfire

1920 - 1940
Description

A lovely naive WWII 'aircrew built' model Spitfire, fashioned from scraps and objet trouve, mainly wood with metal sections and metal running gear and perspex canopy. Details include air intakes, two cannons, radio aerial and rotating wheels (rubber perished). The wooden propellor is missing but the nose cone is still intact and rotates. Wingspan 44cm.
