A fabulous late Victorian or early Edwardian basket with embossed and chased decoration.

The handle folds flat and the elegant basket sits on an oval foot. The inside of the foot is where the full mark for the silversmith is found " The Alexander Clark Manufacturing Co. London / Welbeck Plate ", this particular mark was used between 1898 to 1912.

A stunning basket in beautiful condition, spanning 12 1/2" x 9 1/2" x 9 1/2" tall to top of handle while upright.
