Probably Dutch, but possibly English, this large and attractive Early 19th Century Antique Georgian Repousse Brass Lidded Container was almost certainly, notwithstanding it's overall stamped decoration of vines and grapes, intended to be used for the storage of dry goods, in either a large domestic establishment or perhaps in a shop. Height to include handle ~ 37.00 cm. / 14.60 inches ~ Width to include handles ~ 30.50 cm. / 12.00 inches ~ Depth ~ 28.00 cm. / 11.00 inches ~ Year ~ Circa 1825 ~ Condition ~ Old solder repair to lip where spring clip is fitted, plus a couple of pinholes to the body.
