London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The tambour front slides upwards to reveal a 30 hole oak lined interior. The individual cubbies have an internal measurement of 22.5cm x 10cm (9" x 4") and therefore accommodate A4 size paper or envelopes. They are of sufficient size to house magazines and with each pigeon hole taking 10 to 20 magazines the piece can hold many hundreds.

The piece displays fine condition, is solid and has been prepared with a traditional beeswax finish ready for the home or office - a hugely appealing piece with clear feeling of commercial heritage.
The tabour door is complete with original lock and lock plate, but has no key.

With a height of 73cm (28.7") the cabinet is very versatile.
Overall this cabinet is a desirable and practical item of antique furniture and very unusual in this condition and size, with the quality oak construction delivering an outstanding collectors piece which will suit even the most contemporary of settings.
