A Beautiful Mahogany Inlaid Edwardian Pedestal Desk

1900 - 1920
Description

A beautiful mahogany inlaid Edwardian pedestal desk. Having a rectangular solid mahogany top with satinwood cross banded detail and an olive green blind and gilt tooled leather writing surface. The central rectangular drawer finely inlaid with trailing garlands, flanked by two pedestals each having four graduated oak lined drawers. Each drawer having brass locks and handles. Both the sides and back of the desk also made from solid mahogany with satinwood cross banding, the whole supported on a mahogany shaped plinth with inset castor's circa 1900-1910

Dimensions: 48" wide x 26" deep x 30" high (knee hole 24" high x 21" wide)

Condition: This desk has been beautifully restored, a replacement leather insert. One handle has been replaced and is slightly different from the others (see pictures)
