Antique Victorian Satinwood Grill Front Chiffonier Sideboard

Description

Very elegant antique chiffonier in what looks to me like satinwood, although I can't be sure as it may be a very light mahogany. I bought this item privately & haven't had anything done to it, but you can just make out a couple of small old repairs on the top in the images, which look like they have been done professionally a long time ago. Try & enlarge the image of the top left side where you can make out an old repair. As you can also see in the images, when the door is open there is no middle shelf. I can have one made if required in wood or glass. I would date this piece to around the 1880-90's period & it has all the typical turnings, columns, finials & legs of that period. It has a brass grill to the door, with pleated fabric behind & there is some ebonized trimming in certain places.

Depth - 16.5", 42 cm

Height - 38", 96 cm
