Antique Georgian Regency Mahogany Tallboy Chest of Drawers C1820

Antique Georgian Regency Mahogany Tallboy Chest of Drawers and dating from aorund 1820. It has a cross banded and finely strung edge to the squared top with two short drawers over five long graduating drawers. The deep bottom blanket drawer having a false drawer front with the illusion of two drawers. All of the drawers are pine lined with original gilt brass handles. It is moulded to the base and stands on bracket feet.

This style of Georgian Regency Chest does not come along very often and it measures:

55" high x 24" deep x 48" wide

The internal measurement of the blanket drawer is: 16" high x 22" deep x 44" wide

A superb chest in very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the quality mahogany and oozing all the charm and character of the period.
