A small ancient pottery vessel, probably an oil or ungent pot, displayed under a glass dome with an ebonised base and bearing a label with the inscription; `Egyptian pottery found on the site of the old town of Neappollis near Alexandria in the catacombs 1903.` A lovely object for the `gentleman`s cabinet.`
